"Promoting and supporting increasing access to performance based music education for all." Let Them Rock
I introduce my newest single “Stereo Vibe.” It is noticeably different than my debut album. In addition to songwriting, I equally enjoy producing different kinds of music. When I first started "The Better Haff" I never wanted to box myself into one thing. The idea for this song began with the reverse guitar sound you can hear in the beginning, middle, and end of the song. I then incorporated some Synths and Drum Machines. It was clear it wasn’t going to be a song like the ones on my debut album, so i decided to do something that was better for the song. I enlisted the help of some very talented friends. Special thanks to Madison, Matt, Sheilah, Mat, Mason, and Russell.
I have decided to donate all Bandcamp proceeds for this song to the "Let Them Rock" organization. I am an alumni of School of Rock (2002-2006) back when it was still called the Paul Green School of Rock Music, originally located at 1320 Race St. I remember how thrilled I was that I had a place I could go to after school to learn to play guitar, play shows, and meet new people. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was very fortunate to come from a family that had the means to afford this music education. I would like to give someone else less fortunate the same chances I had. I do not believe I'd be the musician I am today without the education I got from School of Rock. Anything you can donate I will gladly give to the foundation. This song also features fellow School of Rock All-Star, Madison Flego on vocals. Thanks.

lyrics
Verse 1: (Matt del Rio)
Ohhh
welcome to the neighborhood hope ya stay for good
Slowww
sweet whispers by the edge of the woods
Everybody rolllll
With the Holy Spirit til the fear of God got you shook
Crooked like politics all of your faith in a book
An apologist all of your logic is savored and cooked
It's apartheid welcome to the dark side
You'll never starve under harvest moon and starlight
Here comes the crucible led by Christians with pitchforks and crucifix
Coming to kick doors insert force so who ya with I
Find it best to escape an imminent death
So align thyself with a bible proof vest
in the face of God repent for nothing
He ain't listening or given forgiveness
You're forgotten rotten and lost in the neighborhood that we live in
Chorus: (Madison Flego and Sheilah Slavin)
Paint me under the gray sky
Welcome to the neighborhood
Whispers from the grapevine
Welcome you can stay for good
Verse 2: (Russell Kutys)
This dark cloud looms over my dome
As I stroll home stoned reciting my newest poem
An ode
To the stars in the sky above Newark
But this cloud down pours and I'm sure that I'll need a new ark
To try and keep myself afloat,
I feel the water reaching my throat and I hope it ain't real but nope
It appears that is
Well who to ask for a scuba mask when you really need it
This is some deep shit
A feeling that you hate, but is keeping
You on a certain path
Writing these nerdy tracks
They ain't heard him rap but they heard that he's trash?
(Yeah they heard that he's trash)
Well you should listen for yourself
I don't care this time I'm writing for my mental health
For my self, fuck the wealth and a belt
And an auto tuned chorus, though that trap rap can sell
I would never pull a Dr Faustus
No matter what the amount is
Now I'm mounting an offensive strike cuz it's sounding
That depression wants to move in for good,
So it's time for me to roll, cuz there goes the neighborhood
Chorus: (Madison and Sheilah)
Verse 3: (Mason)
There was a little boy, and all he needed was a friend
But all the other boys were mean so he would just pretend
With a weak imagination, and a bleak exaggeration, his fascination with People, had leaped into desperation
So he started writing letters
He would put them in a bottle, send them up the creek and he would start again tomorrow
He prayed and wished and hoped his words would reach a new companion
Maybe go out to a castaway who's on the beach and stranded/ someone Who relates to loneliness and all the pain he felt
from being all alone and yes if only he could help
Till he walked a little further saw the bottles just collected
downstream, he was deeply disconnected but he penned another letter, sayin
Chorus (Madison and Sheilah)
